Two Glentauchers, its already in plural.

1)Glentauchers 2013/2023 10YO 58.9% LOTG

Hogshead with refill ex-(Lap) PX Cask Finish.

Nose: Leathery, tobacco, dry oak. Cranberries with fresh orange skin, there are dried fruits too. Strong presence of alcohol. Sweet, pear and white sugar.

Mouth: Holds good thickness in the mouth. A sweetness mixed with caramel and fruits. There are hints of nuttiness covered below. The creaminess that wrap around the tongue very well.. and it is lasting. There are spice notes as well. Hints of smokiness (Super light to me).

Finish: Sweet, cream and spice.

Fruity and sweet, the creaminess adds the weight for the body which is a pleasant surprise. The structure is there and if you are looking for a moderate 'fruit bomb' this probbaly will be the one.

Easy to approach despite the nose shows a 'fiercer' side.

Something like this.

Not much of the smokiness for me, as my tongue has went through NAVY SEAL HELL WEEK training.

Nice scale: 82/100

-Sweet, fruity, caramel. I think it would be a suitable drink for most of the people.

-There is a decent structure

2)Glentauchers 2013/2023 10YO 52.2% Whisky Broker UK

Oloroso Hogshead Finish (~1 year 8 months).

Nose: Sulphury, despite letting it was open for awhile, probably needs more time. Mineral, sour, plum. Random-it also reminds me of those fried chinese chestnut's shell. Floral and sweet. Sherry influence is there. This delivers a different sort of sherry influence compared to the LOTG, stronger too.

Mouth: Mineral and sulphury still, tobacco and spice. Sweet and fruity. Body is lighter compared to the previous. Hints of leather and dried berries. Nutty. Creaminess yes but lighter and slightly drier. Floral is coming back.

Finish: Floral.

Broker's GT shows a more balanced profile between the liquid and the cask. The sour/sulphur/mineral notes is addictive for me- like those hot spring etc.. If you are looking for a pro-flavour, LOTG is the one. And if you are looking for a more balanced and even more distillate forward, Whisky Broker will be the one.

Nice scale: 82/100
