A release from Signatory Vintage Cask Strength Collections, this time from Glenlivet, distilled on the 15th of August 2006 and aged in first fill sherry butt #900800 till the 23rd of November 2022 at 60.7%. The outturn of 626 bottles.
The bottle design itself already gives me a good feeling; pairing it with high ABV makes my imagination runs wild.

No water has been added- I like to drink as it is XD.
Nose: First, it gives me a hint of the sour plum snack we always had in the past with some wet woody flavours. There is some sweetness waiting to be unlocked and much more to offer in the mouth.
Mouth: Thick and creamy, sour plum becomes more obvious, along with the unique sweetness It have presented. You always have to refer back to the label to remind yourself that it is 60.7%. Often reminds me of milky chocolate as well. Slight peppery spice runs around in the mouth which gives it more layers.
Finish: Long and creamy.
It was a very nice release, not like the typical Glenlivet, but it would still classify it as an 'almost there' type of whisky. Excellent and very close to perfect.
